In 2023, Nate Herbst and Sawyer Herbst bought a CPA firm and quickly realized the software accountants rely on wasn’t keeping up with them. So they started Denari to build something better. The name is a nod to the denarius, the silver coin that served as ancient Rome’s standard unit of currency: a play on history, made modern. Between them, they bring more than 50 years of experience building software for businesses.
We’re based in Madison, Wisconsin, with teammates spread across the country. Our people come from both software and professional services, so we understand the tech and the work it supports. Every firm we partner with gets a hands-on, consultative approach.
